 if prompted for a username and password you will need to use your active directory account (i.e. jdoe0001) and password.

You will need to enter the username in the format KCTCSACC\username

Please refer to the steps below if you are having trouble accessing your account or reset the password

If you are a student worker or a work study student please contact the helpdesk if you do not have a password.

 

Steps for activating your student email account or resetting the password

1)  Using Internet Explorer, access the site https://webmail.kctcs.edu If you are using AOL you must open a separate session of Internet Explorer.  You cannot use Netscape.

2)  Click on the link labeled 'New Users/Password Resets’ or follow this link https://webmail.kctcs.edu/ActivateAccountLogon.asp

3)  Enter your last name and student ID number into the appropriate fields

4)  You will be prompted to confirm your name and then you will be given your login information.  You will need to set a password in order to complete the process.  The password must be complex which means you must use a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers or symbols.

5)  Once the password is set you can return to the https://webmail.kctcs.edu site to check your email.

 

If you are still having trouble accessing the student email website please refer to the steps below

1)         Try adding a period to the end of the URL and accessing the site again https://webmail.kctcs.edu.

2)         Make sure that your browser (Internet Explorer) is up to date at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

3)         If you are using any firewall software (Zone Alarm...Black Ice etc) try disabling it.

4)         If you are on campus try accessing your email there and see if that works. 

5)         If you are using any software to suppress web pop up advertisements make sure it is disabled before accessing the student email site.
